These messages will be sent to every Member in your Private automatically and continuously as you speak and are differentiated from typed messages with 🔉 emoji at the beginning.

This will make it easier for your Members to understand you and you don’t need to type even if they can’t hear you. You can switch it off anytime you want.

Reduce background noise when Speech-to-text is active

While the feature is active your microphone can pick up background noise, music, or other people talking in the background.

Make sure to minimize these to avoid unwanted messages sent in the chat.

Installing JasminCam on Windows

Click on the yellow ‘Download JasminCam’ button in the ‘Home’ menu of your account to download the installation file. An Install Guide below the download button has also been made available to assist you with the process. Once the installer is downloaded, you will simply need to run the installer .exe file and follow through the steps described there.

Verify that you run the installation with administrator rights (Right click -> Run as administrator).

Camera problems

No camera image

Note that there are some cameras which might not be supported by certain operating systems. We suggest using one of our recommended camera.

It’s also recommended to have the latest camera driver installed for your camera. They are included with the camera or may be downloaded from the camera manufacturer’s website.

Basic troubleshooting for camera is as follows:

  1. Select the correct camera device in JasminCam. If not necessary, avoid using a splitter.
  2. Plug the camera into a different USB port, preferably one at the back of the computer, avoid using a USB Hub.
  3. Reinstall your JasminCam.

Slow camera image

Slow camera image is mostly the result of connection problems or low upload speed. However other problems could cause this too. To resolve this issue, try the following:

  1. Ensure your connection meets the minimum requirements and your are connected via cable, because a WIFI connection can reduce the stability. If you suspect connection could be the issue, please check the guide’s connection speed part.

Image quality may also decrease with high/overloaded processor or memory use.

  1. To see more about CPU and memory usage, please press Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys at the same time. This will open up Task Manager.
  2. In the Task Manager select the ‘Performance’ tab where you can see the actual use of your CPU and memory. If they are above 80% it can result in camera problems.
  3. Close some of your running applications and browser tabs, only leave the most necessary programs running.

Camera settings can also make the camera image slow. Setting high values in the Logitech software may cause the camera trouble providing a stable 30 FPS image. Turn off the “Follow my face”, “RightLight” / “Low light compensation” functions.

Checking performance and closing programs in task manager

No audio

With certain cameras, the camera’s microphone can be muted by a remote controller. Check if it is not accidentally pressed.

Check the audio input selection on JasminCam’s log in panel, under Advanced settings.

  1. Open JasminCam, but do not log in.
  2. When you are at the login screen, click on the Advanced settings button.
  3. The select the correct Audio Device, which is your camera’s device in most cases.

If you cannot find your microphone in JasminCam, ensure that the device is enabled and the volume is not too low in the Recording devices in Windows.

  1. Look for a speaker icon on your taskbar (at the bottom right corner of the screen), right click it then select Sounds or Recording devices.

2. On the Recording tab of the Sound setting panel, right click and select “Show Disabled Devices”.

3. Enable the microphone you would like to use.

4. Right click on the correct device and select “Properties”.

5. Switch to the Levels tab and raise the microphone array.

Connection speed

Having a high Internet connection speed is necessary to be able to broadcast HD/FHD quality camera feeds.

The minimum required connection is 1500 kbps (1.5 Mbps) international uploading and 2000 kbps (2.0 Mbps) international downloading speed.

The recommended one is a broadband connection with 4500 kbps (4.5 Mbps) international uploading and 5000 kbps (5.0 Mbps) downloading speed.

a. Connect via cable at all times instead of wifi to ensure the stability.

b. Make sure that the JasminCam application is not blocked in your antivirus and firewall. For more info, head over to the Firewall and Antivirus application(s) part.

c. Disable your VPN or proxy (a software which can alter your location) if you have any on your PC, as these will likely negatively affect your connection speed and quality.

d. Ensure that other programs that can take away your bandwidth (hour length youtube videos, other sites, torrent or downloads) are closed.

e. Checking connection speed and the stability of your connection.

  1. Please use our SPEEDTEST to measure the connection. 
    NOTE: We are not able to accept results from different sites, since our SPEEDTEST measure your connection directly towards our servers it is the only reliable source.
  2. After the test has finished, compare the the download and upload speed results to our recommendations which alternatively can be found here.

If both speeds consistently match or are above our recommendations, that means the connection will be enough for a Good video rating.

Please note that the bandwidth we recommend will be used by JasminCam alone, so if models want to listen to music online, or watch videos while using JasminCam as well, they will need even faster connections to not affect JasminCam’s video and audio quality.

f. Restart your Router/Modem.

g. Skip the router and connect directly to your computer with the internet cable.

h. You may also contact your ISP to ensure the issue is not on their end.

Windows Update

In many cases, the root of the error lays in a simple Windows Update. The windows update service must be enabled and ensure that the computer is up-to-date.

  1. Please open your Start Menu and type in ‘Services’.
  2. Open the ‘Services’ and In the upcoming list find ‘Windows update’.
  3. Right click ‘Windows update’, go into ‘properties’, set it to ‘Automatic’ and press apply.
  4. Next, open your Start Menu and type in ‘Windows Update’.
  5. Click on ‘Check for Updates’ and wait for the search to finish.
  6. If any updates are available, install all of them and restart the PC (This can take some time to finish).
  7. In some cases not all updates can be installed at once, so repeat these steps until Windows finds no more updates after the restart.

  1. You can either directly search for it in the search panel there, or find it in the list.

2. Go to Change Settings. As it is recommended to enable the automatic update install, choose this one from the drop-bar.

  1. Please head to settings, then navigate to Windows update like in the picture below.

2. Head into the advanced options.

3. Here, you can enable the automatic updates.

Enabling Windows Updates via Services

  1. First, open Services(Press the Windows button, type “Services”, and open the offered application. The name of the application might differ for operating systems: Services/View local services)
  2. There, find and select Windows Update Service from the list
  3. Right click Windows Update, select Properties and set Startup type to Manual
  4. Click OK, then right click Windows Update again and hit Start

Windows N edition

Please note, in case you are using the “N” edition of Windows, you will need to manually install the media feature packs .

You may find it in Settings –> System –> Optional Features.

Installing JasminCam on Mac

JasminCam standalone version is available on macOS as well. If you run into any issues and errors during installation please be sure to check the Installation Issues section of this page.

Click on the yellow ‘Download JasminCam’ button in the ‘Home’ menu of your account to download the installation file. Once the download finished, double click on the downloaded JasminCam .dmg file. A window will open, where you will need to click on the JasminCam OS X Installer icon to begin the installation.

This will start the application installation where you will need to follow through the steps described there. Once this is done, you may find JasminCam installed in your applications folder.

Installation Issues

Be sure you are logged in with an admin user. To view your rights on Mac OS X follow these steps:

  1. From the Apple Menu, select System Preferences. 
  2. In the System Preferences window, select Users & groups (Accounts).
  3. Select your user account and then view the right panel. If Allow user to administer this computer is not checked then you don’t have admin rights.  

If you get an error message that says the program cannot be opened because it wasn’t downloaded from the Mac App Store, you need to do the following:

  1. Open Finder > Applications > System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General tab or search for Security & Privacy in Spotlight.
    1. NOTE: If prompted, click on the Lock icon on the left corner of the window and enter your Administrator Username and Password.
  2. Set Allow apps downloaded from to Anywhere.

Setting up the camera and Microphone

Logitech webcam can be used for Facetime, Zoom meetings. After setting up your webcam, you need to launch any app (for example JasminCam) that uses the webcam.

 

Once the app is launched, turn on the Logitech webcam by clicking on Video on the upper left menu bar on your screen and selecting your webcam under the camera. You will see the webcam light up. 

Logitech has a good in-built microphone you can use instead of the default Mac microphone. 

If you have no audio signal after logging in, you may check your active microphones in: Finder > Applications > System Preferences > Sound > Input menu. Or search for Sound in Spotlight.

 

 

Click on Sound and choose your Logitech webcam. You can decide to increase or decrease the input and output volume of your microphone by adjusting it under the Input Volume and Output Volume.

Before Logging in double-check if you are using the Model Log-in credentials (email address and password). You cannot Go Live with Studio email address.

Once you have been logged in to Jasmincam 5, you will find yourself on the offline layout. Here you can access to the basic settings, statistics, notifications…etc. (For more details about JasminCam 5 layout visit our guide.

 

Going Live: make sure to select your camera source as a Cam Device and Audio Device on the Jasmincam Quick Settings section and set the resolution format under the Video Quality option to the highest possible resolution.

Camera Image Problems

If there is no camera image in case of a Logitech Camera simply download and install LogiTune.

Please note that the minimum required macOS version is 12.3. With older versions the camera image might not appear at all.

Slow camera image is mostly the result of connection problems or low upload speed. See more in the Connection speed chapter below.

Your camera quality may also decrease with high/overloaded processor or memory use. You may see more about CPU and memory usage at Finder > Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor. Or by searching for Activity Monitor in Spotlight.

In the Activity Monitor click on the CPU and System Memory tabs where you can see the actual use of your CPU and memory. If they are above 80% it can also result in camera problems too. To fix this, please close every unnecessary application to reduce the load on your system. If that does not help, you need to upgrade your computer.

If your camera image appears pixelated while you are online, it might be because the camera is used on other pages as well. Make sure you close all other pages and applications (such as Skype or other similar apps) that could be using your camera.

  • Make sure to disable camera on Support Chat and Skype, or other similar apps
  • Perhaps wifi is being used for connection. Switch to ethernet cable
  • Make sure to use a Recommended Camera

Logitech Camera Settings (LogiTune)

Once you got your hands on your new Logitech webcam, all you need is connecting it to the computer via USB, simple as that!

However, to get the best out of your image, you might want to use the dedicated Logitech Software. This application is compatible with all Logitech webcameras. You can download LogiTune on the following link.

Firewall and Antivirus application(s)

Firewall and antivirus applications at times significantly slow down or even block your stream. We recommend disabling these applications while you’re working as a performer online.

 

The Mac operating system has a built-in firewall that provides security by limiting or preventing access to your Mac from the Internet. 

This article will show you how to disable the Mac’s firewall. To learn how, follow the steps below:

 

Step 1: Click the Apple icon then select the System Preferences… option.

 

Step 2: When the System Preferences screen appears, click Security & Privacy.

NOTE:  There are some cases wherein the Security & Privacy is locked. Unlock it by clicking the Lock icon. Enter your Mac’s Administrator Username and Password when the prompt appears, then click Unlock.

Step 3: Under Security & Privacy, select Firewall then click Turn Off Firewall or Stop (the layout and labeling varies on different MAC OS versions)

 

Your Mac’s built-in firewall should be disabled now.

 

NOTE:  If you’re using a third party firewall, contact the developer of the firewall and ask for assistance on how to disable it.

Running LiveJasmin Remote Support file

When visiting the Online Support, our Admins might have to connect to your computer to help you resolve an issue. In such cases, they will send you a link from where you can download and run a LiveJasmin Remote Support file.

 

To open TeamViewer, please do the following things:

  1. Download from the link we send you on the support chat
  2. Open Downloads folder on the Dock bar or via Spotlight
  3. Double click on ‘TeamViewerQS.zip’ and wait until the ‘TeamViewerQS’ application appears in folder
  4. Double click on ‘TeamViewerQS’ and click on ‘Open’ if the security prompt window comes up

To be able to run this file however, you might need to make some changes to your Security & Privacy settings. To do this:

Step 1: Open Finder > Applications > System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General tab or search for Security & Privacy in Spotlight.

NOTE: If prompted, click on the Lock icon on the left corner of the window and enter your Administrator Username and Password.

Step 2: Set Allow apps downloaded from to Anywhere.

 

Alternatively if you are logged in as an Administrator, you can allow opening the remote support application separately when clicking on it.

 

Once the file is open, you will have to provide the ID and Password shown on the small window to the Admin on the Online Support Chat and leave the small window open for the Admin to connect to your computer.

General Introduction:

JasminCam 5 is the newest installment in the software used to stream on LiveJasmin. With the new version, a great visual overhaul was made so make sure to check out the offline/online layout parts of this guide. Below, we’ve listed the most important changes of the software, compared to JasminCam v4.

  • Unlike version 4, JasminCam 5 is now able to broadcast your stream in Full HD (1080p). For the technical requirements, please click here.
  • Technical requirements are the same as JasminCam v4.
  • JasminCam 5 is available on both Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • The first login now will prompt a so-called onboarding which is a tutorial aimed to introduce the new layout and functionalities of the application. (Onboarding session is also available from the messages tab, if you click on “LiveJasmin” on the member list, when you get a News message from us)
  • Specific notifications (toasters) are shown in the online section. They appear in three different colors which serve as different type of notifications too:

Appear on the bottom left side, under Member list

  • Can be closed with X (appear on hover)
  • The top notification disappears even if it was displayed for less than 5 seconds when max toaster number is visible

Appears on top side of the chat area

  • Can be closed with X (visible upon hover)
  • Tips have lesser priority than Errors

Appears on top side of the chat area

  • Cannot be closed with X
  • Errors have higher priority than Tips

Offline Layout

Once you have been logged in to Jasmincam 5, you will find yourself on the offline layout. Here you can access to the basic settings, statistics, notifications… etc.

GO LIVE NOW: Hit this button to go online and start streaming.


Daily Goal: You are able to set a goal for your earnings for a given day between 1-10000$ (In USD and not in Credit). The time-frame is not adjustable here, the remaining time will reflect the time left from the given calendar day in sync with your device’s time-zone. 

Today’s earnings: You are able to see your earnings within a particular period. The time frame here is adjustable, so you might customize it according to your working hours.

Total earnings: Total earnings on the account in the period.

Online time: Time spent online in the period.

Avg/hour: Average earnings / hour in the period.

Level depended system sorted by online/offline:

Statistics are refreshed every 30 seconds. Same values are visible as in MSC.

Upper section (Vertical/chronological): You can see here all the notifications that are:

  • News we send to them
  • Actions related to the members

Lower Section (Horizontal/swiping automatically): You can see here all the notifications that are related to your accounts, such as:

  • Audio/Video Rating status
  • Selection status
  • Promotion period
  • Products / Features tips

Turn on, search for device, battery info. More details about the Interactive toy here.

  • Filters: The factory filters are fixed and cannot be altered. However, users can save new presets.
  • Camera settings panel : You can fine-tune your settings on these sliders to create the perfect stream.
  • Stream Preview: You can check every change in real time at the camera preview.
  • Save filter/Discard changes: When you finished the setup you can either save it as a new preset or overwrite one of your older presets. “Discard changes” will return the setting to the last saved setup.

Online Layout

Once online, JasminCam will take you to the online section where the following layout awaits you.

  1. Online status → You are able to switch between Free and Member chat area here. VIP shows can also be set up from here. (See details on this in a later section of this guide).

  2. Viewer list → the panel shows the name of visitors in the your room.
    • The search field allows to quickly filter between Member names
    • King of the Room notification is also placed in the viewer list panel. Hovering the mouse over the (info) icon will show the tooltip: King of the Room is the member who spent the most on surprises for you in the last 24h.
  3. Chat area → JasminCam 5’s chat area has been re-designed to a Messenger-type chatting platform where messages are shown in bubbles
    • Standard Messenger emoji set is implemented and can be used.
    • The translator no longer translates your own messages, only those of the Member’s.
    • Font-sizing became adaptive, which means that every element of the chat area gets resized by adjusting this.
  4. Pre-view window → the webcam’s pre-view window is not yet able to pop-out
  5. Widgets → Below your stream preview, you will now find several useful widgets. These include notifications, earnings, your connected interactive toy, and more.
    By clicking the settings icon, you can customize the order of the widgets or hide any that you don’t need.

 

You can switch between Member and Free chat statuses by clicking on their profile picture.

VIP Show

Clicking on the VIP Show option will prompt a window where you can setup the details of their show. By default, you will see a recommended setting for the credit goal, minimum buy-in, show length and for the pre-show’s length. These are values that we recommend; based on our research most of the VIP shows that got started and ended successfully were started with these values.

  • Describe show content → has a 140 character limit where you can add a description of your show.
  • Credit goal → set the amount of credits where the show will start.
  • Minimum buy-in → the minimum amount of credits with which a Member can participate in the show.
  • Show length → set the length of the show (minimum length is 3 minutes, maximum is 15).
  • Pre-show length → set the length of the pre-show (minimum length is 1 minute, maximum is 30).

Once the description is filled out and values are set, the Start Pre-Show will launch, placing a new tab on the Notifications tab on the right side, called: VIP. Clicking on this will show the status of the Pre-Show;

  • The remaining time of it.
  • The credit goal that has been set.
  • And the description of the VIP show.

If you decide to go offline or close the application while the Pre/VIP show is still running, you will receive a message.

You can kick (figure icon) or ban (crossed over icon) Members from your room by clicking on the three dots next to the Member’s name. If you click on the Member’s name, the left side panel will show information regarding that Member:

Avatar → this will show the visiting Member’s rank (mask).

  • Total income: the amount of credits you earned from this Member.
  • Three dots: kick/ban function
    • You can choose the duration how long you’d like to keep the Member banned from your room.
      • You can select a default duration in JasminCam’s Settings (Menu section on the left). 
      • You can turn the “Ban Confirmation” on and off. (While turned off the application will always ban the Member for the duration selected in the Settings).
      • You can also mute Guests in this menu options.
      • Notes: notes that you saved for this Member. Upon deleting these, there’s an undo option for a few seconds.
      • Chat logs: self explanatory. Entries here can be copied over to Notes.

Hot Deal is a feature available in Jasmincam 5 and mobile. For 5 minutes, offer a Private Show discount to your Members (valid for the entire Private).

After a 1 hour cool down, you will be able to set another Hot Deal.

You can send Private invitations to your visitors.

  • A letter icon next to the Member’s name indicates that you can send a discount offer, ranging from 1-50%.
  • Invitation text can be changed, but there’s a default one that gets sent to the Member.

Once you are taken to Private Chat the status icon will change it’s color to this orangish shade when a Private is initiated.

Exclusive: You can turn this on/off if you want to keep the show exclusive (tooltip message: when Exclusive Private option is activated, further Members are not able to join the ongoing show or take a peek).

Below the Member’s name a counter will show the duration of the current show and the amount of credits earned from it.

You can also check the extra credits earned if the Two-way audio and/or Cam2Cam is activated as well.

At the end of the show, a summary is shown with the total duration and earnings from the show. If the show was longer than 2 minutes you are able to send a message to the Member.

Statistics tab: this area will show the current share rate of the show, the price/minute and the credit earnings

Pre-view window: when enabling Cam2Cam you can choose between blurring the camera feed of the Member or making it visible. You will also be able to flip the picture-in-picture which will switch the camera feeds.

The chat in JasminCam 5 is Messenger-based, messages appear in bubbles.

Surprises have a unique animation and only one is played at a time, so if there are multiple sent, they will play in the order they were sent.

The same logic applies for vibrations sent via the Interactive toy

In the Chat Automation Settings, you can save up to 10 quick replies, giving you quick access to send these messages while online.

  1. Filters: You can select from your saved camera filters list here.
  2. Mirror stream: Flip the sides of the preview 
  3. Expand stream: Expands the preview windows into a separate window.
  • When you go online you can simply select the language you speak at the language selector
  • Each category now has the option for Speech-to-Text.

  • These messages will be sent automatically and continuously as you speak, and are differentiated from typed messages with speaker icon at the beginning.
  • This will make it easier for the your members to understand you even if they can’t hear you.
  • Your member visitors have the ability to enable this feature, but you’ll see a pop-up message when a member activates it.
  • If you prefer not to use Speech-to-Text, you can disable it. Once turned off, members will not be able to re-enable the feature during that session.
  • While the feature is active the microphone can pick up background noise, music, or other people talking in the background. Make sure to minimize these to avoid unwanted messages sent in the chat.

Do you have a surprise streak in Free chat and you don’t want to stop? Block your Private Show Feature in JasminCam and continue having fun without disturbance.
While Private Shows are blocked, Auto Private invitation and Hot Deal won’t be available, and Members won’t be able to start a Private Show with you.

Below your stream preview, you will now find several useful widgets. These include notifications, earnings, your connected interactive toy, and more.
By clicking the settings icon, you can customize the order of the widgets or hide any that you don’t need.

  • Music Player:
    • By default:
      • No music will play when you log in.
      • A headphone and “Play a song” placeholder text will show.
      • Buttons:
        • Shuffle
        • Previous song
        • Play/pause

        • Repeat song
    • Clicking on the speaker icon will mute the sound.

    • During Two-way audio:

      • When a Member activates TWA the music player pauses the music.
      • While TWA is active, the music cannot be continued/started (buttons are disabled).

Login to your Model Center and find the “Go Online” button.
