Microphone and Audio Guide https://play.firesecrets.com/microphone-and-audio-guide/ Mon, 28 Nov 2022 10:35:53 +0000 https://lj-wiki-zrwe7vacxcahi.azurewebsites.net/?post_type=technical-informatio&p=947

Audio Basics

Good quality audio is just as important as an impeccable video stream. If you have a perfect sound setup, your Members can hear you loud and clear, and can fully enjoy the show and content you provide. Almost all webcameras come with a built-in microphone, but these microphones do not necessarily provide the best sound that would be available.

If you wish to provide the best of the best, perhaps it is time to turn up the knob on audio quality as well, by investing in an external microphone and reviewing how you arrange your sound setup within your room. In this guide we will help you with some basic audio settings, ideal microphone positioning (even if you use a webcam’s built in microphone) and will also give you some examples of great and reliable microphones.

Setting up your microphone is most important in order to ensure that the ideal volume is available and that all the necessary drivers are installed.

Please note that any of the devices and tools recommended on this page are not officially endorsed products.

Our Support team gladly assists you with any related inquiries but might not be able to provide an in-depth assistance during setup and troubleshooting. It is your responsibility to ensure 100% compatibility between your devices, tools and your own streaming setup.

External Microphones for PC

In this section we will be focusing on external microphones for when you go online from PC. Mainly we recommend the use of easy to set up USB microphones, as these are more than perfect for providing a good sound quality while also not requiring too much configuration and additional equipment.

The Blue Yeti is one of the most commonly used USB microphones in the market. It has a volume knob and a mute button that flashes red when muted. With its own driver you can setup different pickup patterns for the microphone, allowing you to adjust which noises are detected by the microphone and from which directions. It comes in a basic, a Studio and a Pro version, with plenty of additional accessories available for purchase, each aimed at creating a better audio experience.

A microphone designed for streaming, it provides superb quality audio while also filtering out background noises. Has a tighter pickup pattern, but this pattern cannot be adjusted or changed. Recommended for smaller rooms, or when you are closer to the microphone.

The Audio Technica AT2020 is one of the best starter microphones you can get, though it might be harder to set up and is quite strong, meaning it will pick up plenty of noise from the background as well. We only recommend this to experienced users, who possess the necessary technical knowledge to properly setup professional audio devices. We particularly advise on using the USB edition of this microphone, as they are much easier to setup.

External Microphones for Mobile

With mobile devices, the built-in microphone is usually not as strong and clean as with webcameras. If you wish to use an external microphone for your mobile device you will most likely use a Bluetooth microphone, as they are more portable and easier to handle and setup. We will discuss a few devices that might help you create a better sound quality even when you are streaming from mobile.

Please do note these are not officially endorsed products. Compatibility with smartphone OS may vary. Always ensure that your smartphone is compatible with the external microphone before your purchase it!

A Bluetooth device that can be used both as a speaker and as a multi-directional microphone at the same time. Easy to set up and is quite portable as well. Works both with cable and Bluetooth as well. It is compatible both with your phone and PC!

This microphone is suitable only for Apple iPhones, and offers a very clean quality audio with plug-in connection (Lightning type connector). The microphone’s direction can be set freely which helps pick up only the sounds that really matter, while filtering out the background noise.

This microphone is suitable only for Android OS devices, and connects via USB Type-C. It offers a much greater sound quality compared to the built-in smartphone microphone while also removing noise coming from behind the microphone.

Additional Tools for External Microphones

These tools can help you reduce further unwanted noise for your external microphone and thus create a crisper and cleaner sound quality. They are mainly recommended for PC users but some might be even used for mobile devices as well.

It is very important that you check that the item you wish to purchase for your microphone is 100% compatible with it. Most of the time the manufacturer of the microphone will offer exclusive accessories for that specific product.

A noise protection filter used for microphones to eliminate popping sounds in recorded speech or singing. They are mainly used indoors and when the recorded person is closer to the microphone. Thus it is most useful if you wish to place your microphone closer to yourself.

These foam “hats” are applied to the microphone to reduce the lower frequency noises usually generated by moving air, such as wind in outdoors environment.

It is mostly useful if you are using a strong microphone indoors with the air conditioning unit or a fan turned on in the room. It can also help reduce low murmurs in the room, caused by your computer or other electronic appliances.

A shock or isolation mount is used to reduce shock and vibration from the environment, thus reducing noise in the microphone. Such vibrations can come from mechanical equipment in your room (computer, fan, AC unit, etc.) or when handling or moving the microphone around.

Always check if the shock mount you wish to purchase is compatible with your microphone

Microphone arms and tripods can be used to stabilize your microphone and make them reach the ideal position without being in the way.

For arms, multiple variation are available, with standing and hanging setups and also ones that you can clip onto the side of your desk.

Tripods can be smaller and might be useful if you wish to move the microphone closer to yourself, even onto your bed. General tripods might also be used for mobile devices to better stabilize them.

Microphone Positioning

Aside from getting a professional equipment, there are other ways of ensuring that you get the best out of your audio quality. Below you will see some tips and tricks on how to properly position your equipment and how to reduce background and unwanted noises in your stream.

The speaker and microphone position can greatly affect your audio quality. For example, if the microphone is too close to or facing towards the speakers, it can pick up audio patterns from your computer as well, which can distort your voice or even cause echoing.

We recommend reducing the bass output on your speakers and setting the volume on mid level, so that it is not too loud and does not distort the audio for the microphone.

External microphone position

Most external microphones come with what is called a cardioid or supercardioid polar pattern. This means that audio incoming from the front of the microphone will be recorded in greater quality, while audio from the sides and behind will be mostly filtered out.

If you are working with an external microphone, which you can move separately from your web camera, then the most ideal position is to place it forward and away from the speakers, about 1-2 meters ahead of them and about 0-1 meter from yourself. Of course this means that the microphone will be likely in front of your web camera, so you must pay attention that it does not block the view and is not too visible in the image either. Ideally you should place the camera on a tripod or a microphone arm between your bed and your desk. Alternatively, if you place the speakers away from the desk, then you can place the microphone there as well.

Built-in web camera microphone position

In case you are using your web camera’s built in microphone, then you will likely have the camera placed atop your screen or close to it. In case the speakers are next to the screen on a desk, they should be placed more than 1 meters apart from each other and facing outwards, away from the camera, this way eliminating any interference. Alternatively, you can place the speakers elsewhere in the room, even further away.

Mobile microphone position

Always pay attention that you are not covering the microphone opening on your mobile device, when holding it in your hand or even placing it on another static surface. The microphone opening is usually found either at the bottom of the device or near the back camera slots. It is recommended that you remove the external phone case while streaming, as the materials of the case could greatly reduce the microphone’s ability to pick up sounds.

If you are using an external headset device to listen and talk to your visitors, then make sure that the microphone component of the headset is not covered by your clothing or your hair.

ASMR

In the past few years, the rise of ASMR has created quite a ripple in popular culture. The intention of ASMR audio (and video) recordings is to induce or trigger a so called autonomous sensory meridian response, a sort of tingling sensation that usually generates a positive feeling to the person experiencing it. Such videos have experienced quite a boom in recent years, with more and more people discovering it’s positive effects, creating a niche circle of ASMR users.

If you wish to create such experience for your visitors, you will need a very good quality microphone setup and of course proper mic positioning. You will likely want to set your microphone very close to yourself, perhaps even hold it in your hand, while also eliminating any background sounds that could interfere with the recording.

However it is important and very highly recommended that you limit ASMR performances to Private and VIP shows.

Other Options to Reduce Environmental Sounds

Here are some additional tips and tricks you can use to reduce the environmental sounds in your room and give way to what really matters the most: your voice. We will list a few items and ideas that you might want to consider in order to further remove background noise.

Silent keyboard and mouse

There are devices manufactured just for the purpose of eliminating unwanted clatter and clicking noises. One example is Logitech’s MK295 keyboard and mouse combo that you can check here. Of course there are other options on the market, so it is worth looking around to find what is best suitable for you!

Stable desk and chair

An unstable desk, chair or bed can make creaking noises that can disturb your stream’s audio whenever you move around. Properly stabilizing these furniture and tightening their screws might help removing these sounds.

Quiet Fans and AC units

When the summer heat hits, it’s unbearable to be without a good air conditioning unit or a fan. But these devices can cause a lot of noise in the background too. It is recommended to set them to a lower but constant setting and to purchase and use devices that are made especially to run quietly. Cold mist spraying fans are good option too, as they usually operate with less noise.

Speaker setup and music volume

We already touched on the topic of speaker positioning above, but it is also worth discussing what type of speaker you are using. We recommend ones that do not use any sort of artificial bass boost and have a clean natural sound. One of such options would be a studio monitor speaker system.

The music volume you hear will be always sound louder in your stream. Try to keep the music volume at a lower level, so that your visitors can listen to you without disturbances. When you go online, open your own stream on the site and listen to it to see if the volume is ideal. You may also search for and use browser extensions or applications that specifically help your microphone with filtering out certain audio channels (your music for example). This way you can easily eliminate any echoing in your microphone.

Setting Up Microphone on Your PC

When connecting via PC, most users will find themselves using simple USB microphones, with a so called plug-and-play feature, where the necessary drivers and setup is made automatically when the device is plugged into the computer for the first time. This is true for the webcamera’s built-in microphone too, as these ones usually use USB connection as well.

Some higher grade microphones come with either a phone connector (audio jack), XLR or something else. As most of these professional microphones require further hardware knowledge, we are focusing on the more commercially available and easy to setup USB devices. If you need assistance with setting up the higher grade microphones, we recommend contacting a local professional who can help you setup the hardware in your room.

Nevertheless the type of microphone you use, some basic settings are all the same for each microphone, based on the operating system you are using. Below we will show you how to ensure your microphone is working properly.

Setup for Windows OS

  1. Connect your microphone to your PC.
  2. Open Start Menu.
  3. Type “mmsys.cpl” to the search bar on the Start Menu, press enter. The Sound settings window should open.
  4. Click on the Recording tab.
  5. A list of microphones should appear here. To ensure you see all the devices, be sure to right click in the list and click to show both disabled and disconnected devices. A device needs to be Enabled in order for it to work!
  6. If you are sure the device is enabled and connected, you can right click the microphone in this list and select Properties.
  7. In this new Properties window you can click on the Levels tab to adjust the volume and ensure that the device is not muted. You can also click on the General tab to see what drivers are installed under the Controller Information section

Setup for Mac OS

  1. Open the Spotlight search bar and type in “Sound”, press enter to open it.
  2. In the Sound panel, click on Input tab.
  3. Here you can see the microphones connected to the computer. You can select each microphone and adjust their input volume.

Setting Up Microphone on Mobile

For people using our phone app to go online, the audio setup is much more easier, as all they need to do is ensure the application has access to the microphone. It is also important to not to cover the phone’s built in microphone. Here’s how you can enable microphone access on your phone:

Apple devices:

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy.
  2. Tap the Microphone hardware feature.
  3. The list shows the apps that requested access. You can turn access on or off for any app on the list.

Android devices:

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Permission manager.
  2. Tap on Microphone.
  3. The two lists show the apps that are allowed or denied access. You can turn access on or off for any app on the list.

Additionally, you may use external microphones for you device as well. These will likely either connect via USB, audio jack, or Bluetooth. Connecting these should be all you need to do for them to work.

Setting Up Your Webcams: Plug and Play

Once you got your hands on your new Logitech webcam, all you need is connecting it to the computer via USB, simple as that!

However, to get the best out of your image, you might want to use the dedicated Logitech Software:

With this software, you can adjust several settings for the camera, such as the intensity of the colors or the amount of light that enters the camera’s lens.

Using LogiTune

When opening the LogiTune app on your computer, you are prompted with a window where you can select the device of which’s settings you would like to change.

After selected the camera you would like to configure, you will see the window below:

  • Arrows: With the up, down, left, right arrows, you are able to change which part of the image is visible on your stream.
  • Zoom: You are able to zoom in the camera.
  • ‘#’ icon: Adds two horizontal, and two vertical lines to the preview video to help center yourself.
  • ‘Gear’ icon: You can change the resolution of the preview video, or turn it off.
  • Image adjustments: Here you can adjust the color, brightness, and other settings of your stream:

Adjustments:

LogiTune settings

  • Autofocus: This setting should be left turned off by default.
  • Manual focus: If the camera you are using does not need autofocus, then the manual focus should also be set to 0.
  • Auto Exposure: This setting should be left turned off by default.
  • Exposure: Exposure is the amount of light that reaches your camera’s sensor. Setting this too high or too low will cause problems within your stream.
  • Gain: The Gain camera feature allows you to increase the brightness of the images output by the camera.
  • Auto White Balance: This setting should be left turned off by default.
  • White Balance: White balance is used to adjust colors to match the color of the light source so that white objects appear white. The lower it is, the bluer the video will look, and the higher it is, the yellower it will look.
  • Anti-flicker: The anti-flicker setting on a camera helps to reduce or eliminate the flickering effect that can sometimes be seen when shooting under fluorescent or other artificial lighting.
  • Brightness: Brightness is simply how dark or light a picture is. If you would like to make an image brighter or darker, we recommend first adjusting the “gain” setting.
  • Contrast: Contrast is the range of brightness, from lightest to darkest, in an image. So the higher the contrast, the bigger the difference will be between the light and dark areas of a stream.
  • Saturation: The higher the saturation, the more vivid, intense the colors will be. We do not recommend increasing this setting if your video has a lot of red in it.
  • Sharpness: Increasing this setting will not make the stream sharper, it will only increase the glare around each pixel. Increasing it too much will make the video grainy.

OBSBOT & Insta360 LINK - Software

OBSBOT settings

In case of non-ideal lighting conditions the 180-degree shutter rule should be applied. The rule states that your camera’s shutter speed should always be twice that of the frame rate when filming video.

If the lighting conditions are ideal the Auto setting should be toggled.

Camera Splitter Guide https://play.firesecrets.com/splitters/ Mon, 28 Nov 2022 10:35:09 +0000 https://lj-wiki-zrwe7vacxcahi.azurewebsites.net/?post_type=technical-informatio&p=943

About Camera Splitters

What is a splitter? On Windows your camera can be used by a single application in the same time, a splitter will divide the signal of your camera between the different applications which will allow you to use them at the same time while broadcasting your camera image. By default we do not recommend the use of a Splitter, if you are streaming exclusively on LiveJasmin a splitter is not required as it is only degrading the stream quality.

OBS Studio

OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) is a free-to-use software designed for video recording and live streaming. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.

You can download OBS from the following sources: https://obsproject.com/

OBS Studio video guide

Overview

The guide for OBS is broken down into five segments, each detailing a setting panel in the software. Necessary information and a step-by-step guide how you should set up OBS in order to be able to stream on our sites.

1. Preview window and Scenes

The video feed which is visible in this field will be transmitted to the site. You need to check your stream for defects in OBS and handle any issues there.
Scenes function as a group of settings for different type of outputs. (For detailed explanation and examples, check the menu named: Preview window and Scenes).

2. Scenes

Choose your previously set “Scenes” (set of settings) here.
(For detailed explanation and examples, check the menu named: Preview window and Scenes).

3. Sources

This panel allows to add different kind of sources that are then displayed in the Scene they are added to. (For detailed explanation and examples, check the expand named: Sources).

4. Audio Mixer

Streams will need audio too; this is where the Audio Mixer comes in. All available audio output devices are listed there and the ones that you want to use must be selected correctly. (For detailed explanation, check the expand named: Audio Mixer).

5. Settings

A wide range of settings that allow configuring technical aspects of the stream. If you would like to stream on our sites, you have a set of values that need to be properly adjusted. (For detailed explanation, check the expand named: Predefined Profiles).

Preview windows and Scenes

Preview window

This is the part of the stream that shows what will be transmitted to the site. If there are multiple sources added (like in the example picture), it will appear in the same way on the site too. It is important to note, that the preview’s resolution can be adjusted separately so if this is set to a higher or lower resolution than the webcam, the stream might appear with borders around it or zoomed in.

You might also notice, that there are two parts of the stream, one of the image and another one which shows the webcam’s feed in the bottom right corner. This is due to being able to set up several sources at once. The preview’s size can be adjusted by dragging the thin red border around the image you want to change.

Sources

This panel is the main tool for setting up streaming devices which will then be used by OBS to transmit. Since there are several options here which can naturally cause confusion, this guide focuses solely on the needed configuration for you to be able to stream on our sites.

Important to know: sources have a priority order so if there are multiple video sources selected, they will show on top of each other, according to their order in this panel.

The gear icon opens the settings of the source.

With the arrow icons you can re-order sources.

In order to set up streaming, you need to add the following sources:

  • Audio Input Capture

The audio gets selected automatically, but if you wish to use a different one from the built-in, you can do so by right-click & selecting Properties. The Device dropdown will show all available input devices.

  • Video Capture Device

Click on the “+” button to ad a new source, and choose your webcam device. Click okay or give it a unique name (optional), to arrive at the following setup window:

Settings that need to be applied here:

  • Resolution/FPS type: Custom
  • Resolution: 1280×720 or 1920×1080
  • FPS: 30
  • Video format: Any
  • Color space: 709
  • Color range: Full
  • Buffering: Disabled

Audio Mixer

You can choose which audio input device is active on this panel. The ones you do not wish to use can be muted by clicking on the speaker icon.

Check the Volume sliders to monitor your volume levels. Should they hit the yellow area, that means your volume is ideal, or just slightly above it. Should you see it hitting the red areas, that would probably mean your volume is extremely loud, and you are possibly having distortion in your audio. Lower the recording volume of your audio device when you experience this.

Predefined Profiles

To make it easier if you are not self-confident in doing the settings themselves, we have several configuration profiles which can be imported into OBS. These will automatically set the values to predefined values.

Configuration720p1080p
Windows Intel QuickSync encoding
Windows hardware (AMD) encoding
Windows hardware (NVidia) encoding
macOS hardware encoding
macOS software encoding

How to apply the configuration files:

  1. Download the appropriate .zip file from the list above. (If you are in doubt please visit the “Technical” section our Support Chat)
  2. Unzip the folder to a location you know (for example: Documents).
  3. Click on the Profile menu on the top in OBS.
  4. Click on Import.
  5. Select the folder you have unzipped (not a file in there, the entire folder).
  6. Make sure that the imported profile is selected.

Visit-X Splitter

This splitter provides fluent camera picture and is compatible with our site with most cameras and resolution settings.

You can download the compatible version here: VISIT-X-Video-Splitter-9.0.1.3 (right-click on the link and hit “Save link as…”)

After downloading the program, you will find its icon on the taskbar in the right corner:

Visit-X Splitter video guide

Main menus:
  • Camera: You can select your camera here as source.
  • Format: You can adjust the resolution. We suggest to choose ‘wide’ 1280×720, 864×480, or 864×486 resolution for the perfect image.
  • FPS: You can also adjust the frame rate here, 30 Fps is the required value as a setting here in order to have a continuous image.
  • Extras: Deinterlace, brightness, contrast and color settings.

Deinterlacing: If you notice lines in your video feed, it means that your image is “interlaced”. The deinterlace feature helps to reduce these lines.

How to setup Visit-X and JasminCam?
  1. Open your Visit-X Splitter software.
  2. Select your webcamera below the „Camera” sign from the drop down menu.
  3. Choose the desired resolution (1920x1080p, 1280x720p or 864x480p) and 30FPS next to „Format”. Then click „OK”.

Video and Audio Rating https://play.firesecrets.com/video-and-audio-rating/ Mon, 28 Nov 2022 10:34:55 +0000 https://lj-wiki-zrwe7vacxcahi.azurewebsites.net/?post_type=technical-informatio&p=942

What is the rating process?

During the Rating process, we will check the technical side of your stream as well as the overall aesthetics of the room.

The aesthetic appearance of your stream: the overall quality and style (including hair, makeup, attire, room, and decoration) as well as the composition and camera angle.
The quality of the video stream: resolution, continuous stable broadcast quality with clear and sharp picture, along with balanced lighting conditions.

When you are visiting us on the support chat our colleagues will guide you through the process, if there is anything that must be changed or improved they will share every necessary step and information required.

Having the Good video rating increases your earnings by 5% as well as the Good audio rating increases additional 5%.

Find the related pages below:

Losing the Good rating is only temporary and can be improved with some effort. Instead of changing your room, it’s better to focus on improving your overall conditions to create a more professional and attractive stream. This should be the common goal, and with time and effort, you can achieve the desired result.

Appearance

To achieve captivating streaming experience for your members, everything from your attire, hair, makeup, and room decoration must work in harmony with each other.

Keep your room attractive and tidy to provide an ideal, spacious work environment. It is recommended to stream from your bedroom or living room.
You can achieve this by using double-bed, comfortable armchairs, or a sofa to create a welcoming atmosphere. Avoid small, enclosed spaces or corners as they may make your visitors feel confined.

Adding interesting and colorful tools and objects to your background can help to avoid a dull and uninteresting look. Plants, pictures on the wall, colorful pillows, or toys can all be helpful in this regard. If there are any distracting elements in your background, you can cover them with a curtain or adjust your camera angle to keep things tidy. When it comes to your appearance, strive for a sophisticated look with your clothing and accessories. Remember, your image is the first thing that customers will notice when deciding whether to join your room or not.

Remember that while setting up desktop streams may be easier, it is important to also create a polished appearance for mobile feeds and display both your surroundings and your figure. Make sure to highlight your best features to grab the attention of your audience. To maintain an attractive appearance, position your camera at or below eye level and avoid squatting, sitting astride, or only partially showing yourself.

When choosing your outfit, consider your category, personal style, and physical talents. For a seductive look, opt for sexy lingerie or a mini dress. Elegant blouses or cut-out dresses are suitable for those who prefer a more conservative style, while gymnastic dresses or tight athletic jeans are ideal for sporty models.
Avoid wearing thin striped clothes, silicone bra straps, tightly woven stockings or any detailed pattern in the background as they can create interference, glitches, or a blob effect in the video stream.

Last but not least use bold colors and mix them within your clothing. Large, prominent jewelry such as a pendant, long earrings, or a ring can help you stand out. Invest in high heels as they can turn on many of your viewers, and wear them even when lying on the bed to create a sexier appearance. It’s a good idea to have several types of clothing nearby and vary them to keep your audience interested. You can even organize “themed days” with various costumes and accessories such as latex clothes, nurse, secretary, or police officer.

Here you can see some examples of the general appearance expectations for each category:

Girl

No matter if you are in a glamorous dress or sexy lingerie, everything about you, your surroundings and what you do resonates a classy, unique style. A spacious room with a tasteful bedroom vibe would create the perfect intimate atmosphere for you and your visitors to have a wonderful time together.

Mature

In a stylish and well-designed bedroom that exudes a glamorous and sexy appeal, you’ll be able to showcase your confidence and sensuality like never before. Whether you prefer a classic and timeless look or a daring and provocative style, you can enhance your elegance and femininity with a classy dress or fabulous lingerie that highlights your best features.

Hot Flirt

With a “Girl Next Door” charm and a contagious enthusiasm for the date, an inviting living room or bedroom can set the stage for a fun-filled time together. You can complete the picture by dressing in a playful and flirty outfit that shows some skin but doesn’t cross the line into lingerie territory.

With a ‘Boy Next Door’ charm and an infectious enthusiasm for the date, an inviting living room or bedroom sets the perfect stage for a fun and relaxed time together. You can complete the picture by wearing something casual yet playful that shows off your physique without venturing into underwear territory.

Soul Mate

Put the spotlight on your upper body and face, and let your personality and inviting demeanor shine through to capture your visitors’ attention. Creating a tasteful and cozy environment, paired with a casual yet stylish outfit, can add to the overall appeal.

Let your personality and friendly demeanor shine through to capture your visitors’ attention. A comfortable yet stylish environment, paired with a casual outfit, can enhance your overall appeal.

Fetish

Engage a broader audience by exploring a diverse range of specific fetishes. We’ve expanded our list of the most popular fetishes and included popular tags based on specific preferences to cater to varied user interests. The classic BDSM style is no longer essential. Instead, your aesthetics should represent your chosen fetish that you highlighted on your willingness list. The most important aspect of your appearance is to convey the appropriate Fetish impression through your overall look and demeanor.

Gay Male and Straight Male

Highlight your well-groomed body and personal style, or opt for a classy and fun outfit that reflects your personality. To enhance the overall ambiance, create a tasteful and stylish setting.

Transgender

Emphasize your authentic self and showcase your individuality with a sophisticated and elegant appeal that reflects your personal style. Experiment with different makeup looks and outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable.

Transgender category is all about self-expression, inclusivity, and creating a safe and supportive community where everyone is welcome

Straight Couple

Create a romantic and inviting atmosphere in an elegantly decorated bedroom that showcases your love and affection for each other. The double bed can serve as the perfect centerpiece for intimate moments shared together. Make sure that both of you are well visible in the image to convey your connection and chemistry.

Lesbian

Create a sexy and inviting ambiance in a well-decorated and spacious room with a comfortable bed or sofa that allows you both to move and explore freely. Embrace your femininity and sensuality by wearing a skin-showing babydoll or your favorite lingerie, and double the fun with your partner.

Make-up

For better results on camera, it is suggested to use makeup that is stronger than your regular streetwear as the camera tends to wash out colors. Even if you prefer a natural look, contouring and shading can enhance your features, and you can highlight your favorite part of your face with soft smokey eyes or nude lip colors.

It’s important to choose a foundation that matches the color of your face, neck, and body equally. You can experiment with different makeup styles and colors, but if you want to achieve the most flattering look, determine your makeup season type and use corresponding colors. If you have warm undertones in your skin tone and hair, or if you are a natural redhead, you are classified as either a Spring or an Autumn. If you have a cool undertone and ashy hair with no golden or red highlights, you are either a Summer or a Winter.

Quality and equipment

Having the right technical setup is the most important for a sharp, stable and continuous camera image. If you meet the below mentioned requirements, you are on your way have a good quality stream on our site:

This mainly consists of the camera device, the streaming device (computer or smartphone) and the lighting equipment.

You can find our recommended cameras here and our other technical requirements here.

With proper high resolution, your visitors can see your beauty in it’s fullest! You may choose the following resolutions to fulfill the basic requirement for a 16:9 aspect ratio in high quality video stream:

  • 854×480
  • 1280×720
  • 1920×1080

The higher resolution, the sharper it will look, attracting more visitors. For further help with setting resolutions, see JasminCam Features or contact us on our Online Support chat.

Good lighting is also important to enhance the overall impression of your room. It’s best to use artificial lighting from multiple sources to create an even distribution of light. Avoid having the light behind you, as it can create a foggy or lagging effect on the camera. Make sure the lighting is not too bright or too dim, as this can also affect the quality of your stream.

Proper lighting conditions are essential for a good video stream, but how much lighting is needed will depend on your room’s conditions. The most important is that your room should be lit equally everywhere. You can find further useful information how to set up your lighting here Lighting guide.

Once you are done with above, make sure your camera device’s light and color settings are well adjusted, matching with your lighting environment and color scheme of the room.

Please note that watermarks, appearance altering filters and effects are not acceptable on your video feed.

Lighting Guide https://play.firesecrets.com/lighting-guide/ Mon, 28 Nov 2022 10:34:42 +0000 https://lj-wiki-zrwe7vacxcahi.azurewebsites.net/?post_type=technical-informatio&p=941

Introduction

This guide was made to help you find the perfect lighting conditions for your room and your wallet. We know it takes time to set up everything properly, so we would like to give you all possible help in the process.

Below you will be able to see various setups with different kinds of lights and multiple solutions. We will explain how many and what type of lamps you should purchase and where to place them in your room for highest quality.

With the Technical Requirements you can establish a strong equipment that will give the base quality for your video.

Also the Recommended Cameras help you choose the best option, making sure your feed looks perfect.

Video Guide

Why is lighting so important?

Lighting is one of the most critical aspects of creating a video because it allows you to set the mood for the video.

Pinpointing lighting directly on specific objects or people helps persuade the viewers to direct their eyes to the intended spot, which ensures that important aspects of the video are not missed.

Lighting can also be used to add color and texture to otherwise bland environments and scenes.

The goal of this article is to help you as a Performer setting up such lighting conditions in your room.

To help you, here are a few examples to get you started:

Lighting in general

The main goal would be to have balanced lighting conditions in your room, which produce a high quality video stream without pixelation, blurriness or unnatural colors.

We would like to advise among other things, LED lights that are known to consume less power, give brighter light, give off little heat, and can dim better. We recommend daylight balanced 5500K color temperature. Standard incandescent bulbs are not appropriate, since they have a yellowish tone and can create an unnatural skin color. In case you still have Compact Fluorescent lightbulbs (CFL) available, they could still work as a substitute for LED, although the manufacturing of CFL bulbs has been discontinued almost completely – so if you are planning to purchase bulbs, we recommend you to stick with LED.

Never should you have any natural light in the room, as it will always have a negative impact on the video stream’s quality.

Lighting setup is always unique in each case, where the room, the colors, the furniture all play a part in how strong the lamps need to be and where they must be positioned. Our guides below may not work in all scenarios.

Keep in mind that a camera requires more light than the human eyes, therefore you should verify your lighting in your video stream and not by how you see it in the room.

Pay attention to strong shadows. The closer you are to the background wall, the stronger your shadows will be. Ceiling lights, depending on their position and strength will create a nice contour around you, but might make your forehead and shoulders shine, as well as create strong shadows of the objects on the background wall.

Low budget Category

Table and ceiling lights – $45 – $75

This category doesn’t require professional equipment, might not give you the best results, but it is a good place to start. You will need at least two table lamps and a ceiling light. The bulbs should be the same type in all your lamps to achieve the best setup.

Medium budget Category (recommended)

Umbrella and ceiling lights – $60 – $400

This category requires some semi-professional equipment, which can give you professional results and can be used in the creation of stunning My Content and Contest content.

Umbrella lights are different from table or general lamps, because they diffuse the light and make it softer. Since they provide a higher output, they can light a larger space, depending on their bulbs’ strength and placement. You can purchase umbrella lights individually or in kits from online stores.

There are several types of umbrellas on the market, but we would like to recommend the white (diffusion) or the silver (reflection) types. Silver can be used one way, with the light reflecting back from inside the umbrella, while the white can go through the umbrella’s fabric. The silver type will give you a stronger, more direct light, while the white gives you a softer light.

There are umbrella lights with 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 bulb sockets, ranging from 45W to 150W for each socket. The number of bulbs and their strength required will depend on your room size and colors in it. If you are using a single socket light, start with 45W compact fluorescent bulbs but be sure that it can hold an 85W or stronger compact fluorescent bulbs if needed, otherwise use lights with multiple sockets.

We recommend white umbrella lights, since it will allow you to better light a big portion of your room. You can purchase umbrella lights with one bulb or even up to five bulbs. You can point the white umbrella towards or away from you, this will depend on how much light you need on yourself. Experiment with the setup, position, height, angle and bulb intensity of the umbrella light to get the best results.

Depending on the number of umbrella lights, their strength and position, a ceiling light might not be required. The ceiling lamp, if used, must be the same kind of bulb as your umbrella light’s bulbs, minimum 32W, but depending on your room, you might even need a 100W compact fluorescent bulb.

Studio quality - High budget Category

Softbox lights – above $150

For razor sharp video streams, you can replace the umbrella lights with softboxes and hair light. We have not included sample setups for this category, as buying the right equipment for your room and setting them up will require the assistance of a professional who has the right experience (photographer, videographer).

The equipment used in this category will be a great accessory in the creation of your My Content and Contest content as well.

CFL bulbs:

In case you still have Compact Fluorescent lightbulbs (CFL) available, they could still work as a substitute for LED, although the manufacturing of CFL bulbs has been discontinued almost completely – so if you are planning to purchase bulbs, we recommend you to stick with LED.

LED bulbs:

We would like to advise among other things, LED lights that are known to consume less power, give brighter light, give off little heat, and can dim better. We recommend daylight balanced 5500K color temperature. Standard incandescent bulbs are not appropriate, since they have a yellowish tone and can create an unnatural skin color.

Ring lamp:

Since ring lights distribute a soft, even illumination with ease, they make anyone look amazing. But ring lamps are designed for photography, so you may only use this type to create your My Content and Contest content.

Colorful LED strip:

Streaming with colored LED strip may cause flickering and low video quality in general.

Yellow halogen bulb:

Halogen bulbs have yellowish glow, like incandescent bulbs, which can lead to unnatural colors. Also they’re more expensive than incandescents and don’t last nearly as long as CFLs.

Edison bulb:

Edison bulbs have yellowish glow as well, this will also make the colors unnatural

Spot light:

Spot light used to light up a particular area, person, or thing for example on a stage. Spot light is designed to direct a narrow strong beam of light on a small area.

Natural Lighting (Disadvantages of Natural lighting):

This can result in dull, grainy images on a dreary day. The biggest con being that natural lighting is highly unpredictable.

Shadows:

Pay attention to strong shadows. The closer you are to the background wall, the stronger your shadows will be. Ceiling lights, depending on their position and strength will create a nice contour around you, but might make your forehead and shoulders shine, as well as create strong shadows of the objects on the background wall.

We hope this guide will help you to create and maintain a proper lighting condition to achieve the best possible quality.

Technical Requirements https://play.firesecrets.com/technical-requirements/ Mon, 28 Nov 2022 10:34:28 +0000 https://lj-wiki-zrwe7vacxcahi.azurewebsites.net/?post_type=technical-informatio&p=940

What do I need to perform on LiveJasmin.com?

We are happy to welcome you to our LiveJasmin community. As a starter, let us introduce what you need to go online and stream on the site. Once you registered as a Model, all you need is a good quality web camera, a computer and an internet connection to start. However, for the perfect streaming quality, the right equipment is crucial. The better grade camera, stronger computer and faster connection you have, the higher quality your stream will be, which in turn will result in more satisfied visitors and higher earnings for you.

Once you have the equipment, you will be able to go online via our own JasminCam streaming application and start your show right away.

Below you can see the technical requirements for our JasminCam application. With the minimum requirements you can run the software with a stable image quality, while with the recommended specifications you can stream at a much higher quality which is one of the requirements for the Good Appearance rating. (The browser version of JasminCam should only be used as a temporary backup if the standalone JasminCam software is unavailable.)

We strongly recommend using a desktop PC with ethernet cable connection, instead of a laptop (or notebook) for your work because of performance and heat issues. Notebooks will often downgrade performance in order to prevent heat damage. Furthermore a desktop PC will most likely provide you a wider range of possibilities for future hardware upgrades.

Using MacBook Air is not recommended for online streaming as it’s specifications do not meet the site’s requirements and has no proper Ethernet cable port available, which would be needed for a stable internet connection.

Minimum required specifications

  • Operating system: Windows 10 64 bit, Mac OS X 12.3 or above. All with latest and all updates installed.
  • Processor:
    • Intel 6th generation Core i5 @ 2.50GHz or better, preferably one with Intel QuickSync Video available.
